Sępek, Jarek

biography

Jarek Sępek (born in 1980) is a Polish traveler, journalist and writer. He did a BA in journalism at the University of Wrocław and then an MA at the University of Warsaw. He also studied for the Diploma of Mass Communication at TAFE College Perth, Australia. His debut book, W 80 dni dookoła świata, nie wyjeżdżając z Londynu (Around the World in Eighty Days, Without Leaving London), was published in Warsaw in 2010 under the Carta Blanca imprint. It focuses on the topic of multiculturalism in the UK. He is also the author of a multimedia book Kiwi. Zupełnie Nowa Zelandia (Kiwi. Totally New Zealand), published in 2012 by Mediorama.

Jarek Sępek worked as an editor of Gazeta.pl website from October 2006 to June 2007 and as a deputy editor of the magazine Cooltura in London from October 2007 to June 2010. In 2004 he won the Traveller of the Year Award, granted by the Polish travel magazine Podróżnik. He lives and works in Nysa.
