biography

Mariusz Wieteska (born 1973 in Poland) is a prose writer. He graduated in sociology from the University of Szczecin. His debut novel, Zielona wyspa (Green Island), was published in Warsaw in 2010 under the Anagram imprint. It has been followed by Ołowiany żołnierzyk (Tin Soldier, 2011), Pewnego dnia przyszedł do mnie (One Day He Came to Me, 2012), and Isabelle (2013), the book co-written with Sabina Waszut. Mariusz Wieteska’s writings have been critically acclaimed and he was twice shortlisted for the Angelus Central European Literature Award. He has also hosted a number of literary broadcasts in Radio Zet.
