Claire Allen (born 1970 in Liverpool) is a British writer. Her debut novel, The Mountain of Light, was published in London in 2004 under the Review imprint. One of the book’s main stories revolves around the elderly Polish emigrant, Josef, who has made England his new home. Claire Allen studied English and Theatre Studies at Warwick University and went on to do a postgraduate diploma in Art History.

She lives in London, where she teaches courses in creative writing at The City Lit.
