Ozaist, Jacek

biography

Jacek Ozaist (born 1972 in Bielsko Biała) is a Polish poet, prose writer and journalist. He graduated in film studies from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. His debut collection of poems, Pesymfonia, came out in Cracow in 2003. It was followed by two novels, Podstawiony (Substituted, 2005) and Wyspa obiecana (The Promised Island, 2015, and a collection of short stories Szorty (Shorts, 2005).

Since 2005, he has lived in London where he runs restaurants with Polish cuisine.
