Grosvenor, Catherine

Catherine Grosvenor (born 1978 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish playwright and translator. Her debut play, One Day All This Will Come to Nothing, premiered in 2005 at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh and attracted a range of positive reviews. It has been followed by Lucky Lady (2007), Cherry Blossom (2008), her most successful play to date that depicts the experiences of Polish economic migrants in the UK, Gabriel (2009), and The Tinderbox (2013).

Catherine Grosvenor is a founding member of the Village Pub Theatre, a writing theatre collective. She has translated Anna Wakulik’s poems used in a play A Time To Reap as a part of the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs programme in 2013. She has also been involved in a number of initiatives for young adults, e.g., a theatre writing course Scribble. She lives and works in Edinburgh.
