Galvin, Tom

biography

Tom Galvin (born in Dublin) is an Irish writer, journalist, editor and musician. His debut work, The Little Book of Dublin, written for the tourist market, was published in 2004 by New Island Books. It has been followed by That’s Cork (2006), another publication for visitors, and There’s an Egg in my Soup (2007), a diary from the author’s stay in Poland, where he taught English at a state school in the years 1994-1999. His first novel, Gabriel’s Gate, was published in 2011 under the Book Republic imprint.

He has also contributed to a range of newspapers and magazines, including In Dublin and The Irish Times, and worked as an editor for the Evening Herald. He lives in Wicklow, Ireland.
