Keyes, Marian

biography

Marian Keyes (born 1963 in Limerick) is an Irish novelist. Her debut novel, Watermelon, was published in Dublin in 1995 by Poolbeg. It has been followed by fourteen novels, including Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married (1996), Sushi for Beginners (2000), The Other Side of the Story (2004), The Woman Who Stole My Life (2014) and two collections of her journalism, Under the Duvet (2001) and Further Under the Duvet (2002). Her novel The Brightest Star in the Sky (2010) touches upon the experience of Polish immigrants in Ireland.

This Charming Man won her the Irish Book Award for popular fiction in 2009. She lives and works in Dún Laoghaire.
