Kasjas, Piotr

biography

Piotr Komoter (born 1969 in Pabianice) is a Polish poet who writes under the penname Piotr Kasjas. His debut collection of poems, Gdyby miłość nie istniała (If Love Did Not Exist), was published in 2012 in Tolkmicko by Radwan and it includes works written in the years 1985-2010. His first publication was followed by the second volume of poetry, Miłość i tożsamość (Love and Identity, 2013), published in Warsaw by IBiS Publishing House. Piotr Kasjas has also contributed to literary magazines, such as Poezja dzisiaj, Akant and Metafora.

In 2013, he founded The Voice of Polish Culture (Głos Polskiej Kultury), the organisation that promotes Polish literature and culture in the UK. He is also a member of PoEtry London, the Polish literary group based, as the name suggests, in the British capital.

Piotr Kasjas currently lives and works in Birmingham.
